Elbit Systems Ltd. has won new contracts with European countries totaling approximately $150 million for the supply of advanced systems.
Under the first contract, Elbit Systems will equip the aircraft fleet of an unnamed European country with its advanced DIRCM technology. This technology provides an additional layer of protection for high-value aircraft platforms. Additional orders include the supply of DIRCM systems for the transport aircraft fleets of European NATO member countries, enhancing operational safety during strategic airlift missions. These contracts add to the growing number of agreements Elbit Systems has signed across Europe and around the world for the protection of high-value aircraft fleets.
Elbit Systems' J-MUSIC DIRCM system is designed to protect aircraft against man-portable air-defense systems (MANPADS). The system combines advanced laser technology with industry-leading imaging capabilities. Installed on a wide range of military and commercial aircraft worldwide, it provides superior protection, solidifying its position as a preferred solution for airborne platform defense.
Thanks to their ability to cope with evolving threats, Elbit's DIRCM systems offer reliable performance, high flexibility and complete integration with a wide range of aircraft types, thereby improving the safety of critical missions and the crews that execute them.
Oren Sabag, Managing Director of Elbit Systems Intelligence and Electronic Warfare, said: "The continued confidence shown by the European and international community in Elbit Systems' DIRCM self-defense solutions reflects the company's growing reputation as a provider of innovative technologies in the field of air defense, notably offering effective protection for aircraft and crews against the most advanced threats."
